The seniors had a battle to overcome the bottom placed Lions who welcomed back three senior players to the fold.
The Power started a little slowly but soon hit their straps with on ballers Kade Rowe and Josh Lewis pumping the ball deep into the forward 50, allowing for Luke Cowan to kick two first quarter goals. Nathan Rhodes started brightly and the Power had a 16 point lead at the first break.
The game then soon became a battle of the back halves as wasteful entries and a crowded forward line allowed for the defenders to come out on top.
Luke Cowan managed to kick another two goals for the quarter and Ben Wilson and Sam Burden held up strong down back.
The Power managed to extend their lead to 28 points at the main break.
The second half turned into a true slog but Nathan Rhodes and Luke Cowan remained the leading lights with able assistance from Alex Wallis.
However, when Culcairn kicked four unanswered goals at the beginning of the final quarter, an upset brewed and the crowd came to life.
However, another two goals to Luke Cowan, who finished with 7, and two goals to young gun Matt Walker sealed the deal for Power who recorded their fifth win for season.
Nathan took out the honours for Best on Ground.
The club is especially pleased that Kade Rowe made a successful comeback from a serious hamstring injury and gathered many possessions.
Final score: CDHBU 16-6- 104 defeated Culcairn 10-13-73.
The Reserves recorded their second win of the season with a 70 point win over the Lions.
Match fitness, a return of several key players and hard work on the track combined to reward the boys with a well-earned win.

Veteran Doug Lavis was into everything as was Ryan Mills.
The Reserves have been training strongly and more wins are certain to come.
The Thirds remain undefeated with a 65 point victory lifting them into top position on the ladder. Despite losing Matt Walker and Andrew Phibbs to senior duties, Hayden Fischer and Kane Mills guided the boys home in an at times lack lustre affair.
Dylan Cornell had a strong game up forward in his return game and Matt Baker continued his excellent form for 2015.
The Fourths got back onto the winners list with a 14 point win over Culcairn.
Rory Batten had a great game on the ball, Deaken Clancy kicked four goals and Dougal Robb had a blinder.
Hunter Surrey played his best game for the year.
Despite not having two of the side’s better players, the Power had their fourth win of the year with Angas McFarland and Matt MacDonald having very strong games.
This week the Power returns to Coreen for the eagerly awaited games versus Howlong.
