CDHBU Power Seniors went down by 11 points in hard defensive game against Osborne at Osborne.
The Power started well with an early goal to Corey Smith but it was all Osborne after that as the ball spent most of the time in Osborne forward line as they went to quarter time leading 3.4 to 1.1. The Power lifting in the second quarter with Matt Ross playing well in the ruck and Andrew Ollington back to half back line linking up well the Power dominated the quarter but missed shots for goals were costly. Jordan Lavis kicked a brilliant goal from the boundary and Aaron Ray slot one but that was all the Power could muster from their ten shots at goal to trail at half time 4.8 to 3.8. Scoring was still hard but Osborne made better use of the ball in attack and held the Power to just a point for the quarter as they opened up a 26 point lead at the last change 7.11 to 3.9. The Power through coach Brad Talbot lifted in the last quarter and with Sam Burdon, Nathan Rhodes & Josh Lewis winning the ball in the midfield the Power charged at the Cats.
