A big last quarter by the Power has enabled them to take the chocolates in their Easter Saturday clash with Brock-Burrum Saints. The game started slowly for the Power with the Saints having all the ball and kicking the first two goals of the game. A great running goal by Captain Joel Rippingale got the Power started. Troy Duke was marking everything but the Saints kicked another two goals before the Power has some costly misses just before quarter time to be trailing 4.5 to 1.3 at the break. The Power hit the scoreboard early in the second quarter with goals to Coach Brad Talbot and Matt Robinson to draw within 8 points of the Saints but the Saints were able to steady and they were able to go to the long break with a 22 point lead 7.8 to 4.4. The third quarter saw the Power get on top in the centre with George Neely playing well in the ruck, and with Matt Ross and Michael Kruen playing well in defence the Power started to make progress on the scoreboard. Doug Lavis was dangerous at half forward with three goals for the quarter as the Power only trailed by 4 points at the last change 9.10 to 9.6.
