The CDHBU seniors put one of their best efforts of the season to go down by 19 points to 7th placed Lockhart. With Lockhart making their first trip to Coreen since the Power moved to the Hume League, a good start was required by the Power. And with the first centre break the Power had the first score on the board, but a couple of costly misses in the first 10 minutes hurt the Power as after even start the Demons dominated the last 15 minutes to go into quarter time leading 6.4 to 1.2. In the second quarter the Power was able to even up the contest with Joel Rippingale and Brayden Kingston winning ball in the midfield and with Sean Hanrahan having a influencing on the contest, the Power trailed at half time 10.5 to 5.5. An early goal to Lockhart had the margin out to 36 points after the main break, but this seemed to ignite the Power. With Brad Talbot continuing his stellar form and Doug Lavis and Jarrod Hanrahan dominating the Power kicked the next 4 goals to get within 12 points before a late goal to the Demons saw Lockhart leading 12.9 to 9.8 at the last break. Lockhart seem to crush the hopes of the Power fans in the first ten minutes kicking 3 goals but the youngsters of Aaron Ray, Marc Playford and Damien Wilson showing the way the Power still kept on coming but couldn't bridge the 3 goals margin going down 16.15 to 14.8
The Reserves went down by 27 point in their game against Lockhart. With both side down on the bottom of the ladder, it was Lockhart that had the better of the first quarter leading at quarter time 3.2 to 1.0. The second quarter was all the Power with Joel Willett having a great in the mid field and along with usually suspects Ian Bock and Paul Phibbs the Power was able to get within 1 point at half time 3.1 to 3.2. It was another tight quarter in the third with Carlton Lohse fighting hard, Jacob Hanrahan was showing promise and along with Denis Tomlinson and Steve Talbot the contest was up for grabs in the last with Lockhart leading 5.4 to 5.1 at the final change. But the last quarter was all Lockhart as they ran away to win 9.5 to 5.2.

Netball
A grade started off strongly and led at the first quarter by 10 goals, with Michelle Wilson and Erin Lavis working well together through the centre court. In the second quarter, Lockhart fought back reducing the lead by 4 goals with Coach Wilson asking for the team to lift and play their own game. In the second half, Hayley Kuschert and Bec Barber dominated the goal circle maintaining a good lead. Sally Smith and Julie Lavis were strong in defence by not allowing the goalies to get close to the post and then rebounding each ball. Brooke Schilg assisted in defence bringing down the ball through mid court. It was a solid performance against a team in 5th position on ladder with the Power coming away with a 13 goal victory, 42 to 29. A grade should be proud of their effort as they have been dominating teams above them on the ladder in the last few rounds but will finish one spot out of the finals in 7th spot.
B Grade went into the game with the goal of not only winning but also to limit Lockhart's scoring ability. This was achieved in the strong defence of Cindy Charlton who powerfully rebounded and intercepted. Caz Collins was troublesome in centre court and fed well into the goal circle. Lauren Harders again showed her strength and speed around the circle passing in to Rosie Dye who finished off well with accuracy at the post. B grade played with great determination and went on to win by 19 goals, 45 to 26. This now sees B grade in 5th position on the ladder and a win against 6th placed Henty will certainly cement a spot in the finals.
C Grade made it two wins in a row with a 20 goal victory against the Demons. With Hayley Scott and Sue Wynne dominating the mid court for the Power, the girls were able to come away with a 43 to 23 win. This week the girls take on 5th place Henty and are hoping to upset a finals bound side in their last game.
C Reserve is finals bound after an extremely impressive 24 goal victory against the 4th placed Lockhart. With Emily Bush on fire in attack, Evie Barbour controling the mid court and Jenna Lane working hard in defence the girls were able to defeat the side they come up against in the finals 43 to 19.
Intermediates proved they are coming into form for the finals with a 52 to 30 against 4th placed Lockhart. The first quarter was an even one with only one goal separating the two teams. However, the Power girls applied the pressure during the second quarter which saw them pull away and Lockhart was unable to stay with them. Caz Svarc applied plenty of pressure on her opponent in the mid court and Tess Wilson and Sophie Hanrahan were unstoppable in goals. Rachel and Erica Hanrahan were trying their best to quell the sharp shooters at the other end of the court and all mid court players were doing their job making it increasingly difficult for their opponents. In the second half, Caz was put into the goals and Sophie into defence. This combination proved too much for the Lockhart girls and the Power came away with a comfortable 18 goal win.
The Juniors had a huge 59 goal victory against Lockhart. Alicia Leahy had a superb game in centre court for the Power and along with Emma Wilson who played well in defence and mid court the girls were able to come away with a 62 to 3 win.
The Mods went down by the slimmest of margins against Lockhart. The girls played a very hard game, keeping up with the Demons with Emily Boyle and Nikita Bainbridge playing well for the Power but unfortunately they didn’t quite make in the end going down 9 to 10.
