CDHBU ran last season’s runner-ups all the way before going down by 9 points in an entertaining game at Coreen.
The Power continued their high pressure game from last week to have Jindera under the pump from the first bounce. Kade Rowe was prominent along with Russell Anderson as the Power took a 2 point lead into quarter time 3.2.20 to 3.0.18
The second quarter continued with great pressure with Cal Butler & Shannon Broadbent leading the way while Cody Howard’s pace was causing problems for the Bulldogs but the Power were unable to make the Jindera pay kicking 2 goals 5 for the goals to lead at half time 5.7.37 to 5.1.31.
Power kicked two early goals in the third quarter to get out to an 18 point lead before Jindera slowly got back into the contest to only trail by 5 points at the last change 8.8.56 to 8.3.51
The game was an arm wrestle for the first twelve minutes with Jindera leading by a point before 3 quick goals got them a handy lead. But the Power kept coming back and when the siren sounded Jindera was in front 13.6.84 to 11.9.75.

The Reserves had a hard breaking 5 point loss to the undefeated ladder leaders Jindera. The pressure from the boys was superb right from the first bounce which Jindera found hard to score. The backline led by Lloyd Lohse and Cam Dutton were right on top and with Mitchell Clifton & Sam Sarah lending great support Jindera find it hard to score. This enable the Power to stay in the contest and when Royce Gregory slotted his second goal and Brad Lewis kicked two goals in the last quarter the Power had hit the front by a point with 5 minutes left. The Power tried to hang on but Jindera was able to kick a goal in the last minute as the Power went down 6.5.41 to 6.0.36

The Thirds were a few short this week with unavailability but Jindera helped out with a few players and with their help in the third quarter the game was really even with Blayre Smith able to kick 2 goals and with Tristan Hall kicking one the Power was only outscored by a goal. Jai Kilpatrick made the most of his chances in the last quarter slotting a goal but the Jindera was to good winning 25.13.163 to 4.1.25.
