Doug Lavis will reach his 300th senior game milestone this Sunday in CDHBU first ever final in the Hume League against Osborne.
Lavis played 154 games for Hopefield-Buraja, winning back to back flags in his first two seasons in 1995-96. He also won the best and fairest in 2001 before the club folded in 2003.
He then joined Coreen-Daysdale-United in 2004 before Buraja merged in 2006 to become Coreen-Daysdale-Hopefield-Buraja United.
Lavis played in back-to-back flags with CDHBU in 2006-07 and thrived on the big stage to kick eight goals in each of the deciders.
He has also won multiple league and club goal-kicking titles.
Doug kicked 146 goals in 2005 and also cracked the ton again the following year with 117.
His biggest haul has been 15 goals, twice against Jerilderie in 2005.
Lavis hasn’t won a best and fairest with CDHBU but was a model of consistency from 2004-08, twice finishing runner-up and twice third.
