Its that time of the year again. The last game of the season fast apporaches. After 14 rounds 2 wins and 2 winable washouts the Tigers miss out on playing the finals in 2009. The season has had some highs and lows. Beating Port at home for the first time in 10 years, almost beating top of the table north coffs were some of this highs. The lows were missing out on 2 very winable matches due to the terrible weather and not beating port away to make the finals.
But overall it has been a fantastic year and one we will remember for a long time.
But before we reflect there is still one more thing to do. Go lion hunting in Macksville this weekend. Last game at home we received a scare from Nambucca and now its time to extract some revenge. The game time has changed to 1pm because there are no under 18's or reserves matches to be played.
It will be interesting to see how many under 18's play this weekend with finals ahead of them the following week. Last time the Lion Cubs were amungst the best and showed some of the older guys up. I think Heath the coach of the under 18's might be telling a few of his stars to have a week off.
