The Tweed Coast Tigers will step out onto Pottsville Oval for the final time this season when they take on reigning Premiers Bryon Magpies this Saturday.
The Magpies are undoubtedly the strongest and most consistent club this year and still the team to beat for the Summerland 2009 League Flag.
Tiger’s President Col Richards has gone all out for the final home game “ We are aiming to provide a carnival atmosphere for what could be a Grand Final preview. We’ve had great home crowds this year and we would like to go out with a bang for them. There will be a VIP tent for our fantastic sponsors who have supported us in our inaugural year, we really want to put on a great show to say thanks to them and our home crowd. The Tigers Junior club are also looking to run a match prior to the seniors which will be great for the groms. We want all of Pottsville and the Tweed Coast to get behind our Club this weekend.”
The Tiger’s have only played Byron once this season due to wet weather and were given a lesson in quality football by the talented Byron team. However this was only the Tiger’s 3rd ever game and they have improved throughout the season.
With the first final only 2 weeks away a nearly full squad and a big home crowd this is set to be one of the matches of the year.
Junior Game to start at 12pm. Seniors at 2pm.
