Thankyou to the families from Auskick, u14W, u14R & u16; Cranebrook Little Athletics & Penrith Rams who assisted in the National Tree Planting Day held at Greygums Oval on Sunday 2nd August.
Special thanks to the Penrith City Council for supplying the trees, soil & thankfully, pre-drilled holes. Minister for Lindsay, David Bradbury & family were also on hand to make the day a complete success.
A sausage sizzle, refreshments & a good chin wag capped off a very satisfying event.
The day saw a perfect opportunity for the three tenants of Greygums Oval to work together as part of the Greygums Revelopment Program. Besides beautification, the program has been introduced to raise the profile of Community Support with the Cranebrook area while at the same time, forming a strong partnership with the Penrith City Council.
With the Lakeside & ADI developments close to home, welcoming recreational facilities and friendly sporting clubs are an important element to the personal development of young children in the area.
An initiative for extensions to the existing facility are now in the very early planning stages.
Many thanks once again to the Penrith City Council for their wonderful ongoing support & recent maintenance activities at Greygums Oval.
