The Lismore Swans destroyed the Ballina Bombers at Mortimor Oval by a whopping 134 points. It was a perfect day for football and the Swans were ready for a big game of football.
The Bombers got the early start kicking the first major however the Swans got going to take control of the quarter and skip away to a 33 point lead at the first break. The Swans poor skill level allowed many turnovers which allowed Ballina to convert a few goals in the second term, however the Swans run assisted Lismore to extend the lead to 44 points.
The Swans turned things around in the third term with some fantastic running football. The skills improved significantly as they hit targets all around the ground smashing Ballina out of the park kickin 9 goals whil keeping the Bombers scoreless. Swans taking a 105 point lead into the final break.
The Swans allowed Ballina the first goal of the quarter but did not let them have a sniff after that as the Swans marched to a 134 point vicotory. Lismore Swans 25.22-172 to Ballina 6.2-38.
Goal kickers were 4 to Wesley Seewald, 3 each to David Woon, Aaron Peters, Daniel Bruce, 2 each to Mitch Montgomery, Simon Howard, Jake Ryan and Eddie Burton, while singles were kicked by George Massa, Angus Legoe, Phil Tsourlinis and Jeremy Lamberton.
Best for the day were Daniel Bruce, Aaron Peters, Eddie Burton, George Massa, Lincoln Shinners and Jason Bevan.
