Lismore hosted Nimbin on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. The match followed juniors matches which was a good spectacle in the lead up to the seniors game. Before the match it was difficult to determine how the Swans would back up after a physical encounter the day before.
However the Swans very quickly pushed that concern a side as they showed they were out to play footy jumping the Demons with an 11 goal first term taking a 67 point lead into the first break. The second was much the same as the Dee's could not stop the run of the Swans. Lismore running away to a 107 point lead by half time.
The Swans continued with much the same in the third as the backman moved up forward. The Swans kicked 11 behinds for the quarter to take a 166 point lead into the final break. The Swans could have been much further in front if they had converted the goals. Lismore finished the final quarter in similar fashion keeping Nimbin scoreless in the final term. Final score Lismore 35.26-236 to Nimbin 2.4-16.
Goal kickers were 6 to Daniel Moloney, 5 each to Phil Tsourlinis and Simon Howard, 4 each to Aaron Peters and Wesley Seewald, 3 each to George Massa and Shane Winterbon, 2 to Eddie Burton, while singles were kicked by Rowan Hindry, Angus Legoe, and Jared Rose.
Best on the day were Nathan Box, Phil Tsourlinis, Simon Howard, George Massa, Eddie Burton, Jeremy Lamberton.
