The Tigers 4 game winning streak was stopped in it's tracks on Saturday by a running Lismore at a wet Pottsville Oval.
What should of been an away game at Lismore ended up being played at Tigers home ground due to wet weather ground closures.
With several of the Tigers key players out, including star goal kicking forward Jules, Coach Paul Kelly was forced to restructure the forward line for the Tigers. Whilst the Tigers toiled hard in tough conditions including rain squalls, credit must go to the Lismore Swans who turned up to play and used a fast paced running game to get the points.
After losing the toss and being forced to run into a powerfull Potty Doctor southerly wind the Tigers backline worked hard to repel the Swans attacks but the Tigers went into the first break down 3.3 to 0.2 failing to find the big sticks.
The Tigers won the second term with the wind kicking 5.2 with forward pocket Matty leading from the front kicking 2 goals, however the Swans running game saw them bounce back to kick a couple of good goals into the wind to finish the term with 4.3 and a 14 point lead at half time.
The 3rd qtr was always going to be critical, The Swans with a howling wind at their back dominated, kicking 6.6 whilst the Tigers could only manage a single point.
The Tigers continued their never say die attitude winning the final qtr kicking 4.1 to Lismore's single behind, but the 3rd qtr had proved the difference and the Swans gained the vital Summerland points.
Good performances for the Tigers from Jai, PK and Jacob in the centre with Trent and Arty solid in the backline.
Goals for the Tigers came from Popey with 3 straight in the final term, 2 for Matty and first gamer Dean, with singles to Adam and Josh.
The injury list for the Tigers keeps growing with key defender Earle suffering a potentially season ending knee injury. His aggression at the ball will be sorely missed.
The Tigers head to Ballina this weekend for tough match against the Bombers on their huge home ground.
Coach Paul Kelly is expecting a big turn out at training as we head into the important final games of the season.
Thanks to all Tiger's Coaching and Support staff and of course the tireless Commmittee.
And the great Pottsville Crowd.

Lismore: 3.3, 7.6, 13.12, 13.13 (91)
