Due to wet weather and ground closures this weekends game was moved to Pottsville. It was the third time the Swans made the trip up north without hosting there opponents at Mortimor. The playing group took on the challenge ahead of them understanding the importance of the match.
The Swans kicked with the wind in the first and took advantage of the breeze kicking 3 goals for the quarter while leaving the Tigers goalless taking a 19 point lead into the first break.
Against the wind in the second, and the backline was brilliant, rebounding the ball forward as the Swans extended the lead early. Tweed Coast kicked a few late goals for the quarter to reduce the margin to 14 points at the main break.
A big third term was asked of the players and a big third term they delivered. Lismore's midfield took control as the Swans kicked 6 goals to zip for the term and blowing the margin out to an impressive 55 points putting the game beyond doubt.
The rain fell in the final term as the Tigers kicked a few goals to reduce the final margin to 30 points. Final score Lismore 13.13-91 defeating Byron 9.7-61.
