We welcomed Robe on their shortest road trip for the year, unfortunately they enjoyed the short trip and as a result we failed to win a game for the day. Though it was nice to see such a pretty face gracing the cover of the Budget.
The Junior Colts came up against the second side and played well despite what the score suggests. The boys continue to improve each week and offer a promising future for our club. Tom Schulz and John Thorpe led by example. Awards: Duckys Surf: Tom Schulz, Peter Walters: John Thorpe, Gary Nilsson: Lachlan Bowman, John Cavanagh: Dylan Montouri, Sport & Rec Steak: Angus Altschwager.
Our Senior Colts went down, despite a solid game. Hugh Bateman put in as did regular A graders Dale Fabris & Cameron Slape. Awards: Seebohms Sportspower: Hugh Bateman, Garry Nilsson: Dale Fabris, KAOS Video: Lindsay Agnew, John Cavanagh: Cameron Slape, HFC Ladies: Zane Wallis and Sport & Rec Steak: Michael Ogilvie.
The Reserves once again had to coax some of the “older” fellas to don the boots again this week. Hopefully players will be returning from injury soon and the Reserves can keep their finals hopes alive. Awards: Beurepaires: Eli Strother, Millicent 4WD Systems: Jason Uzzell, Daves Panel & Paint: Luke Haines, Beachport Hotel: Ryan Bowering and Grand Hotel Meal Voucher: Michael Gibson.
The Senior game was disappointing to say the least this loss now puts us at 2nd to bottom on the ladder. Fatz & Sneathy (birthday boy) played solidly. Awards: Somerset Hotel: Brett Sneath, Tony Egans Menswear: Darren Paul, Beachport Hotel: Nick Ellis, and Bompas Meal Voucher: Brad Bateman.
Last weeks Phil's Wheel Winner was K Breeding ($46)!! And the 100's Club Winner was Denis Manhood. The Beer jackpotted again as Brian Bowman wasn't present.
