The Roosters tried new combinations in the first half, rotating goalers and players in the wing.
The Eagles trailed by one goal at the end of the first quarter, but could not maintain defensive pressure in the second term, allowing GWSP to extend its lead to six goals.
Eagles coach Scott Nichols said the team would tackle its inconsistencies in the coming week.
"Our problem all year is, again today, we're just too inconsistent. We're good for five minutes, we're pretty ordinary for five minutes," Nichols said.
"It's a disappointing loss, especially the score, because I didn't think as a team they were that better skilled than we were, they were just better drilled and (more) consistent throughout the game.
"I thought our start was excellent. (But) we really let it off in the first five minutes of the second quarter, so from there you're just doing catch up and they didn't do any worse so we were just doing catch up in the end unfortunately."
Roosters' coach Lisa Dyer said new combinations in the first half of the game reflected on the scoreboard and needed work.
But, she was happy with the second half.
Dyer said the side would continue to work on combinations in the lead up to its clash with Colac next week.
"I thought today we lacked a bit of control especially in the first half. We tried some different combinations in the first half which were a little bit difficult to get used to and adjust to but happy with 7-0," Dyer said.
