Nick Hammonds is one of the classiest movers going around and matches his skill, ball use and great balance with toughness both at the contest and in handling injury and opposition attention.
Last week to go along with his knee troubles and an ankle strain he nursed a poor memory and sore jaw thanks to a right fist to the head in the first quarter yet shrugged them all off to be a thorn in Burleigh's side all day and help the Tigers to a 10 point come from behind victory.
Matching H's on field class is his off field class in that he is a quietly spoken humble bloke who has the respect of all his mates and gets to play with cousins Ben & Josh at the same club.
In his fourth season in Tiger's colours, the 26 year old is half way to what most consider to be the milestone that brands you as a club man and senior footballer of note, and hopefully with a good run with injury Nick can make it well into the 60's by season's end and crack the ton in the next year or two.
We all love watching number 43 cruising around the Noosa midfield and we hope H will stay a vital part of the Tiger line up for many years to come.
