The Lismore Swans have humiliated last years minor premiers by 112 points at Mortimor Oval on the weekend. The Swans were very impressive playing four quality quarters of footy in front of a strong home crowd.
The Swans came out to play and showed it from the first bounce. Jezza inspired the boys in the first kicking 4 goals as the Swans ran away toa 28 point lead at the first break kicking 6.5 to 2.1.
Jezza continued to destroy the Bombers up forward with 7 goals for the half as the Swans displayed a brilliant style of footy moving the ball so cleanly out of the backline and into the forwad line. Swans taking the lead out to 74 points by half time, 14.10 to 3.2.
The Swans relentless in the first half continued there dominance as the backline continuesly rebounded the football out of the backline and the midfield provided the forwards with plenty of opportunities. Swans blowing the margin out to 97 points by the final break, 19.17 to 5.4.
Lismore finished of Ballina in the final term to complete a demolition of Ballina by 112 points. Lismore 23.18-156 to Ballina 6.8-44.
A terrific performance by all for four quarters of football. Fantastic effort, we have now set a standard of football that we need to display week after week.
