The Tigers took to the road for there first ever road trip to Ballina for Round 2 of the Summerland League and faced a strong Ballina line up on a field bigger than the MCG.
A depleted Tigers line up through injury and absentees struggled to match the Bombers in the first qtr, but showed spirit in the second to trail by 4 goals at the major break.
It was pretty much downhill from there for the Tigers who tackled hard all day but lacked the skills and accuracy required on the huge field to match the Bombers. A last ditched effort in the final qrt saw the Tigers kick 3 goals but it wasnt nearly enough to catch a rampant Bombers.
Good performances from Trent, Arty, Earle, Jai and PK, with single goals to Jacob, Col, Jai, PK, and Trent.
It's going to be a big , fast learning curve for the Tigers this season, but as the saying goes, whatever dosn't kill you makes you stronger.
The Team will regroup at training this week and prepare for the major challenge of taking on the reining Premiers Byron Magpies this weekend at Potty.
Thanks to the Coaching and Support Staff and supporters who made the trip to Ballina.
