Life Membership GFC - 1997
As the proprietor of the Crown Hotel in Traralgon, Terry was a strong supporter of the club throughout the 70’s and 80’s as a Sponsor. The clubs catchcry in those days was “when in town drink at the crown”, and Saturday night after away games was generally where the club congregated. Finals success in in those days usually meant big celebrations at the Crown on “Mongrel Mondays”, and Terry was a great host making sure everyone was well looked after particularly with some food to compliment the alcohol consumption. Terry was very hands on with the running of the pub and rarely had the chance to come to games, but when he retired from the business he attended our matches on a regular basis and was a passionate supporter of the club. Terry was awarded a Life Membership in 1997 recognising his contribution to the club as a major Sponsor, and the part he played in the social fabric of the club with the Pub being a home away from home for players and supporters.
