Life Membership GFC - 1991
Gibbo played in the Seniors for 3 seasons 1970 to 72, but it was as a trainer that Gibbo made his mark on the history of the club. He started as a trainer in 1973 missed the years 1981 to 1983, but was an integral part of a great team of trainers consisting of Vic Mather, Paul Matters, Pat Purtell and himself. He said it was a privileged to train all the Premiership sides, but I didn't make all the photos because I was out on the ground with the 2nds or 3rds. After receiving his Life Membership in 1991, Gibbo continued to be a trainer at the club with the exception of the years 1999 to 2006 when he had to work on Saturdays. Gibbo was inducted into the clubs hall of fame in 2014 and was elevated to a Legend of the club in 2016
