The Mount Burr United Football Club Management Committee was successful in their grant application to Club One for funds towards First Aid Supplies.
Club One distributes funds to Clubs and the South Australian community on the basis of merit and need for the benefit of grass roots community sport and recreation.
The application in March was to purchase tape to use for trial matches in the first few weeks of games.
Trainer Wayne Fennell said, "As you would appreciate, playing football on country ovals is difficult at times due to the uneveness of some grounds. This can cause ankle injuries and stress is put on joints due to the speed of the game and the quick turns that are required."
He added, "as a precaution I need to strap ankles and other joints of those that have a history of these types of injuries. The tapes are necessary to hopefully prevent any serious injuries to the four sides that play football and train at Mount Burr".
