Ben Evans could lay claim to being Noosaâs holiday king and still has plans to travel further.
A trip to Thailand, a Cruise with cousin and fellow Tiger Nick Hammond (amongst other mates), buying a bus with Rizza and travelling the East Coast down to Melbourne and spending 2008 in Busselton playing footy and seeing the other side of Oz, sees this 21 year old rich in life experiences.
He was one of a few Tigers to play for the Busselton Magpies last year, although an ankle injury held him back for much of the year.
Having returned to Tigerland for 2009, Ben is looking forward to adding to his 14 Senior games and rejoining many of the mates he has played with over the years after moving to Noosa as an 8 year old.
Ben is one of those invaluable players that are there week in week out and whilst not racking up the B&Fâs (although he finished runner up in the junior one year) is a dependable and vital cog in any team he plays for.
A qualified chippy by trade, Ben also loves a hit of golf, wake boarding and obviously travel and plans to save up over the next year or two with the aim to join recent Tiger Mark Herschel over in Europe for (you guessed it) another big trip.
We all look forward to a big year from Ben and feel confident that while he may roam the world, he will always consider the Sunny Coast home base and hopefully play many more games at Tigerland in the years to come.
