Changes are in store for the NCCUA after it held it’s AGM last Wednesday (10 December 2008).
Although half of the Committee was either re-elected or re-appointed for another year, maintaining the direction that umpiring is heading in the region, the addition of some new faces will bring a breath of fresh air to the NCCUA Committee in 2009.
The new faces on the Committee include Ashley Borg, Troy Edwards, John Sullivan, Roger Stokes and Phil Behrendt. Due to other commitments, Grant Godfrey (BDAFL Vice President) and Emily Reichert did not stand for re-election at the AGM.
The outcome of the AGM was as follows:
President – Darrel Luck
Vice President – Steve Welsh
Secretary – Richard Cornish
Assistant Secretary – Ashley Borg
Treasurer – Neville Turner
Committee members – Elected: Phil Behrendt, Troy Edwards and John Sullivan
Committee members – Appointed: Roger Crowhurst (BDAFL), Roger Stokes (AFLGSJ Central Coast) and Roy Reichert (AFLGSJ Newcastle)
Congratulations to all those members of the Committee who have taken up the challenge of leading umpiring in 2009.
