Welcome to the 2023 GCJBL Winter Season with King’s Basketball Club please read ALL
Information below before Registering your Child/ren.
The Gold Coast Junior Basketball league (GCJBL) is the Premier Gold Coast Junior Basketball Competition.
The League consists of 12 clubs: Amigos – Banora Point, Burleigh Blades, Gold Coast Celtics, Heat Basketball Club, PBC Magpies, Pacific Pines Panthers, Somerset Spartans, (Somerset College students only) TSS Suns, (TSS students only), Varsity Vipers., Kings Basketball Club (Kings Christian College students only), Central Stars, Lindisfarne Lions (Lindisfarne College students only).
Competitions are run for boys in the U10,12,14,16,18 and 21 age groups and U10,12,14,16 and Open Girls (U14-U21).
The purpose of the GCJBL is to provide a competition pathway for junior basketball players on the Gold Coast.

The season includes: Four grading rounds, 14 regular season competition rounds, semis (top 4 teams in each competition only) and finals (Winners of the semi finals only)
GCJBL Venues
The GCJBL will predominantly be played at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre at Carrara, we will also be utilising Tallebudgera Rec Centre and Somerset College on occasion.

Boys Trial Day - Thursday 19th January 3:30-4:30pm - U10’s, U12’s & U14’s

2023 Gold Coast Basketball and Basketball Queensland Registration Information
All players must be registered with Gold Coast Basketball and Basketball Queensland to be eligible to participate in the 2023 GCJBL competition. The registration period for each product last for 365 days.
Players aged 10 years and older
Basketball Queensland Registration Fee $73.88 Gold Coast Basketball Registration Fee $76.12 Total $150.00
Players aged under 10 years
Basketball Queensland Registration Fee $36.94 Gold Coast Basketball Registration Fee $53.06 Total $90.00
Uniform Information
Uniforms can be purchased directly from the School’s Uniform shop. You will be able to purchase the full uniform set, and mix sizes between jersey and shorts (I.E. Large Jersey, with small shorts).

Gold Coast Basketball Representative Season:
To represent Gold Coast Basketball in the SQJBC season; all players must participate in 50% of the 2022 Winter Season games to be eligible to Trial. Summer league is NOT an eligible competition.

2023 Representative Season – All players must play 50% of games in the 2022 GCJBL Winter season
U16/U18
2023 Representative Season - All players must play 50% of games in the 2022 GCJBL Wintinter season
