As the Ballarat Football & Netball League season resumed last weekend, the Bloods enjoyed our scheduled ‘bye’ which allowed our teams an extra week to regroup and train together after the lockdown.
BFLWomens
The BFLWomen’s team got things started again last Sunday, registering a huge win at MacPherson Park against Lake Wendouree. Selina Mawson led the way with six goals on a day where the girls combined for 22 goals and held their opponents to no score. Ash Wallis was named best on ground. The Girls meet Melton Centrals at Arnolds Creek tomorrow starting at 12.45pm. The ladies received warm up tops last week – we thank Get Sliced Pizzeria and Back in Motion Melton for their support of the Women’s team in 2021.
Amended Schedule
The BFNL have made some modifications to the fixture, with two games being removed and the season now consisting of 14 games over 16 rounds. All teams need to play each other once which will take 4 more weekends (this will be enough to register a season) with another 4 matches to follow.
In the next month we have June 26 vs North Ballarat (away), July 3 vs Ballarat (home), July 10 vs Lake Wendouree (home) and July 17 vs Bacchus Marsh (away). Our next bye is on July 24 – although the Under 19s may have a match against Ballarat (to be confirmed) to make up an extra bye in the draw.
Check our website for the full schedule. Our social calendar will be revised in the next week or so and published once finalised.
Live Streaming
Saturday's Senior football match will be live streamed on the Ballarat FNL website from 2pm onwards.

One special mention to our Under 19 footballers who made a team donation and with everyone donating collected over $1800 – the club congratulates these boys for showing their support collectively.

We thank the majority of our members who did the right thing in the first six games of the season. If you are unwell or showing symptoms of cold/flu you must stay at home, and all attendees must sign in using the QR code on display at the ground.
