Great weekend for the Tigers with 4 wins from 5 games. Our section 6 netball girls had a great come from behind win on Friday night getting the chocolates by one goal while our section 5 girls battled hard against the top of the table Knox to goal down. One Saturday our Unders went to Montrose to come away with a strong win while our Seniors and Reserves also both recorded good victories agaisnt Bayswater. Our resident photographers Debbie Stingell and Graham Bradkte have a host of great action shots on our facebook page @mitchamfootballclub
NEXT WEEK we are off to Park Orchards and due to renos at their Senior ground we will be playing @ The Junior Ground - Stinton’s Reserve. Never easy for a footy club when renos are under way so as a club we need to support The Park Orchards footy Club and make do… May we suggest carpooling as parking is very limited and we as a club will also be taking steps to ensure the best possible conditions for our players...#proud2bmitcham #strongandbold

Round Seven, and for us the opportunity to play Montrose Football Club for the second time in 6 games. This due to some alterations in the fixture and our competition being brought down to 8 teams. Although the score shows a comprehensive win, the first half was well contested by both teams and scores at the half quite close, albeit that some wayward kicking on our behalf perhaps helped. Second half showed the type of game style that we have been aiming to play, based on our training efforts and perhaps now we start to see the potential based on the group being focussed on playing consistent TEAM football.
Our challenge continues in trying deliver consistently a 4-quarter effort.

Reserves Coaches Report
Great day full of sunshine saw our Boys play well and dominated with a 100 pt win, with 5 changes from last week due to injured players coming back our list was very strong on the day. The 1st qtr saw a 3 goal to 1 term as we clearly had most of the play although to Bayswater’s credit they used the short kick very well which meant we had to tighten up across the board. The 2nd qtr we managed 4 goals to zero completely outplaying them, the second half was similar as we kicked away to win comfortably. Pleasing was the fact that our best qtr was the last as we fixed up some of our structure which the Boys executed well, big game next week against the undefeated Park Orchards so can’t wait for that, thanks to a huge turn out of support from the Tiger’s which didn’t go unnoticed by everyone, thank you.

Senior Coaches Report
His week we travelled out to Bayswater and after losing 3 in a row we were desperate to get back on the winners list. We had a strong focus to start well and be hard around the contest and pleasingly we were able to do that as we got on top through the midfield and skipped out to a 25 point lead at quarter time. In the 2nd quarter we dominated the inside 50 count but we unable to take full toll increasing our lead to 38 points at the main break. Our 3rd quarters had been very poor the last 3 weeks so we were keen to turn that around this week. In what was our best quarter of the day we had 11 scoring shots to 4 and extended our lead out to 70 points at ¾ time. To Bayswater’s credit they battled the last quarter out strongly and the margin stayed at 70 points at the full time siren. Jake Parente in his first game was outstanding up forward booting 6 goals and Jesse Uren gave us plenty of drive out of defence. Well done to Mitch Pavey and Josh May who played their first senior game for the club. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us on a beautiful Melbourne day, we look forward to seeing you out at Park Orchards this week.
