The Emu Plains / Glenmore Park Lions Football Club is looking for Coaches in all ages groups (including Auskick at three venues) for the Greater Sydney Juniors (Sydney West) for Season 2010.
We are looking for Coaches who can continue the growth of the Club over recent years, with a view to providing a clear pathway for all players wanting to play AFL in the local area.
Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of modern AFL coaching methods, very good communication skills, a positive community club attitude and a strong sense of teamwork. There will be a Team Manager and club Football operations manager to support all Coaches of each team.
All existing Coaches of our 2009 are encouraged to submit applications for any of these new positions.
Following another successful season both on and off the field, the Lions played finals football in all age groups. It is envisaged that 2010 will be the "Year of the Lion" with many players still eligible to play in the same age group as 2009

Auskick Co-ordinator
With the expansion of the Lions Auskick programme now being run in three locations on Saturday and Sundays, we are seeking an Auskick Co-ordinator. Duties include:

Liase with various coaches and managers on match day.

Organise and purchase equipment to run the clinics and provide assistance when required to these centres

Organise functions, gala days and "mini competition" days

Outline recruitment strategies
-
Provide reports for website/newsletter etc on a regular basis

Make sure that every child/parent/carer/supporter etc has an enjoyable experience
J-Squad Co-ordinator and Youth Squad Co-ordinator
Two new positions have been created to lessen the workload for the Lions competition teams. Duties for these positions include.

Liase with coaches and managers at training and match day.

Assist with ground managers on the day to set up/dismantle fields and mark their respective grounds.

Make sure all teams have adequate equipment to operate efficiently.

Assist in organising team functions.

Assist in recruitment strategies for both current and new players

Handle enquiries/concerns from their respective teams.

Organise rostering for canteen etc

Report to committee at monthly meetings
-
Provide reports for website/newsletter etc on a regular basis
The J-Squad Co-ordinator teams are Under 10's, Under 11's and Under 12's
The Youth Squad Co-ordinator teams are Under 14's and Under 16's
All positions report to the Vice-President Football Operations
