An early start at Memorial Oval for the Magpies saw our Under 11s kick off the day against Emu Plain/Glenmore Park Lions. A strong game, terrific movement of the footy and a team working well together.
All of our 9s and 10s teams were in action on Memorial Oval 2. We played host to the Bullsharks, Blues, Eagles, Falcons and Tigers. Great games of footy across both age groups. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who officiated as Ground Managers, Timekeepers and Medical on our second oval.
12 youth girls’ team hosted the Blues. Perseverance and a
“first to the ball” attitude saw the Magpies finish strong. Well Done girls.
The 12-1 team played structured footy for a strong game against the Goannas and our 13-1 team played four quarter footy against Parramatta Lions. A solid effort from the teams.
13-2 travelled to Dukes Oval and despite a strong comeback , were 2 points down at the final siren. Great effort.
14-1 Sydney Harbour side travelled to Gore Hill to take on premiers Willoughby Wildcats. A hotly contested game by both sides. No win this round, but a team well placed in the Sydney Harbour Competition as they head into the final rounds of footy.
14-1 Western Sydney headed out to Greygums Oval to take on Penrith Giants. Only 2 points the difference at half time, saw the Magpies well placed. No win this round with a strong finish by the Giants. A game played in great spirit by both teams.
14yg headed out to Greygums Oval this round to take on the Giants. The Magpie spirit is alive and well in this team. Side by side we stick together…never a truer word spoken. Well done girls - a victory in many ways.
A trip to Greenway Park to take on Sth West Tigers this round for our under 15s team. A strong team game, great movement of the ball and multiple goal kickers resulted in a solid win.
Our 16 youth girls took on a strong Giants side this round. A good game by both teams played in great spirit. Thank you U16yg Giants for your support of youth girls footy.
U17s Red side played a shortened game at Hannaford Oval . A solid start by the team, unfortunately the game finished early due to player injury. We send our best wishes for a speedy recovery to the Camden Blue Player.
Our U17s Black team headed out to the brand new facilities at Caddens Oval to take on St Clair Crows. One of the best team games played with lots of structured footy. Well done boys – well placed as they head in to the last few rounds of footy for 2020.
Congratulations to all our 50 game and 100 game players this round.
Well Done Everyone. #SideBySide
