The umpires were greeted by newly elected president, Rachel Robinson. On top of this, the appointments for the first round of games were read by coach Christine Burrows.

Ryan Stanton becomes the 52nd umpire in NCCUA history to reach the 100 match milestone. Ryan commenced umpiring in 2015 and has made substantial improvements in his umpiring, made great contrubitions to the association and is currently on the Board of the AFL HCC.
Ryan's tally includes 70 Black Diamond Cup Matches, 23 Plate Matches, 4 Shield (2nd Div) Matches, 2 Reserve Grade Matches and 1 Women's Cup Match.
Ryan officiated in the 2015 Second Division Grand Final, 2017 Reserve Grade Grand Final, 2018 Black Diamond Plate Grand Final and last year, reached the pinnacle of the AFL HCC by officiating in the Black Diamond Cup Grand Final.

150 BLACK DIAMOND CUP MATCHES
Jake Lowe becomes the 2nd goal umpire in NCCUA History to officiate in 150 Black Diamond Cup matches as a Goal Umpire.
As former president, Lowe guided the Association through some difficult times, including the change of competition structure in 2018/19 and his ability to form great relationships with the clubs sees us in a terrific position as an association.
Jake's umpiring tally includes 263 matches, which is 7th highes overall.
Lowe has officiated in four Black Diamond Cup Grand Finals in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2018.
