Our football and netball departments are currently reviewing when training will commence and what this will look like, remembering we “must” adhere to the new restrictions opposed on us.
We will provide an update as they are announced and approved by the club.
There has been a great deal happening during our downtime with regards to our facilities and to assist our volunteers, one of which is the installation of a new large walk in freezer which will allow us to purchase canteen stock in bulk and store onsite which will be great.
I also wish to thank and congratulate everyone on the response to the Toyota Good for Football raffle. As of today to have $5,700 raised and be number 1 in the country is an amazing result and says a lot not just about our club, but the fabulous players, supporters, members etc that we have. Clearly what the club means to you is the same as what you all mean to us.
For a relatively small club when compared to many others around the country, this result greatly exceeds our expectations.
Thanks also to Toyota, the AFL, and Rowdy for promoting this through our social media channels and the playing groups that have taken on the challenge.
The money raised here will not go into the clubs general revenue, it will be put aside to be used to assist our transition out of the challenges we face and the committee are discussing options in this regard. Hopefully one of us will walk away with one of the cars.
When this raffle is drawn we do not need to finish number 1 in the Country, we are number 1 in the Country.
Please continue to abide by the government and authority restrictions, stay safe and healthy and hopefully we will be all back together, sooner rather than later.
