Started playing football in Under 17s for Nyah West under 17s in 1966.
Played Seniors and Reserves for Nyah West until Nyah West and Nyah Football Clubs amalgamated in 1978, becoming Nyah-Nyah West United (NNWU).
Played at centre half back for most of his career
Played first season with new club, Nyah-Nyah West United in jumper number 29 in 1978.
Was nicknamed “Granite” because he was said to be “hard as a rock”!
Had 6 years away from football due to injury and running farm.
Once sons Matthew and Brendan started playing football, Frank became involved once again.

President of Junior Football Club 1988, 1989 and 1990.
Committee man with Nyah-Nyah West United Senior Football Club in 1991.
President of NNW United FC in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
President of football club with Under 17s won Grand Final under coach Graeme Long in 1992.
2000 - Team Manager for NNW United Senior premiers side
Made life member of Nyah-Nyah West United Football Club in 2001. Again United were back to back premiers in 2001.
Joined the committee of Central Murray Football League in 2003.
Vice President CMFL 2006 – 2008.
In 2009 until 2012 – Chairman of Central Murray Football Netball League. Whilst Chairman of the CMFNL, attended two or three matches each Saturday throughout the home and away season.
