The AFLQ has been handed the recommendation by the indipentent body who over the past month has been asked to assess the Northside teams.
You could hear a pin drop as eyes and ears were on our club President as he laid out the proceedures from here on. Tony told the audience that the recommendation from the indipendant body would be assessed by the AFLQ Committee who would them pass thier recommendation onto the AFL Commission.
Nobody knows the outcome of the Northside teams review, but it will be that very review that will more than likely decide which club if any will be offered a State league Division 1 licence for 2009.
Tony said that he would be in discussion with his board and football department to address the many questions that the club must ask before making any decision.
What ever happens, it will be a an anxious few weeks as all Northside clubs wait on the AFLQ decision. No matter who plays in Div 1 next year, all clubs are effected in some way, so it is the clubs such as Sandgate, Strathpine, Aspley and Grange along with Zillmere that will be efected no matter what happens over the comming weeks.
Watch this space and we will keep you up to date
