Moyhu 88 def. All Blacks 21
Travelling to Moyhu, a top six side, the panthers were always going to have their work cut out. Missing Bernie O’Brien through injury and the unavailability of Bree Haslam, Kirsty Eastwood returned for her first game of the year. The team worked hard but inconsistent passing from the All Blacks and accurate shooting from Moyhu saw the home side take a commanding lead early. An early injury to Natalie Pritchard gave Ally Ballard and Emma Warnock an opportunity to come on to the court and show their versatility. In summing up Moyhu were a fair better team on the day.

The Panthers came out firing in the last game of the season and only trailed by 4 goals at quarter time to a very strong team in Moyhu. As the game progressed Moyhu’s lead extended and was quickly out of reach for the All Blacks. In the last half it was great to see the girls finishing of the season thoroughly enjoying themselves and celebrate what was a fantastic year. Coach Emma Sangster said it has been an absolute pleasure watching the girls grow together as a team and play some fantastic netball over the season.
