The North Brunswick Football Club is mourning the tragic passing of past player, and former reserves coach John Costello.
In a tribute to John, the following was published in the Herald Sun on the 19th of September.
John Costello 13.01.1954 - 16.09.2008
'To our esteemed former player, reserves coach, committee man and supporter, taken too soon in the prime of your life, your dreams and ambitions never fully realised.
The memory of your hardness and attack on the football, and your willingness to impart your knowledge to the players you coached, certainly made them better men.
Your good humour and a story for every occasion will never be forgotten.
From the many nights at the Court House Hotel, to the Thursday nights at the clubrooms, you will be sorely missed.
Condolences to Irene, Darren, Douglas, Cameron and the Costello family.
- President, Secretary, Committee, Members, Past Players & Players of the North Brunswick Football Club.'
We are proud to always remember John, as a North Brunswick Football Club person.
Our thoughts are with the Costello family in this tough time.
