Women In Football
Carole Fabian, a long time member of Brunswick Zebras, has recently helped set up a new national organisation called Women in Football, to advocate for greater gender equity in our game. While many more girls and women are playing football, the powerful decision making roles are still dominated by men - think state federation boards, FFA, A-League Club boards, and FIFA. While women have the passion, the interest and the skills, it’s very hard for them to break into professional and decision making roles in our sport.
Women in Football aims to support all women and girls- as players, as volunteers, as administrators, as coaches, referees, managers and decision makers. To build some real influence, we need to also build a broad membership base, and so they are asking all of you (and your families and friends) to consider signing up as members. It costs $25, it could help make a real difference for the game we all love to play, watch and enjoy.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
