Talking Point
Woodend/Hesket - Currently sitting second on the ladder by percentage, the young Hawks are in a great position mid season.
Broadford – This team is currently in sixth position on the ladder but with Romsey only one game away nipping at their heels, it will be keen to get a win and stay in the top six.
Last week
Woodend/Hesket – it won against Riddell 39-21. Its first and last quarters were very strong and shooting accuracy was fantastic with Gemma having a best on performance scoring 26 goals at 96-percent accuracy. The Hawks defensive pressure created turnover ball and goals with Abbey and Macca in good form. The third quarter again let them down which they will need to work on.
Broadford – beaten by Melton Centrals by nine goals. Its shooters shot at 72-percent with Centrals shooting at 68-percent, therefore, turnover ball is what hurt them.
Why they will win
Woodend/Hesket – will be determined to put out a consistent four-quarter effort and get a good percentage on top of a win at home.
Broadford – will be keen to stay in the top six as they aim for a finals berth.
Who will win
Woodend/Hesket's depth and resilience will be tested with 17’s players coming up to help out but it will be up to the task at hand. The young Hawks team will create pressure across the court and win comfortably at home.
