B Grade
TALKING POINT
With a good training session leading into this game and the inclusion of Shae Denahy in the defence line up, Woodend/Hesket will be coming out stronger than Riddell anticipate.
LAST WEEK
Woodend/Hesket : sitting 10th on the ladder after a disappointing performance and loss against Wallan, it will really need to lift in all areas to get back into the competition.
Riddell: has only two wins so far this season and will want to add another win after a huge loss to Rupo.
WHY THEY WILL WIN
Woodend/Hesket: This B grade team plays to win. With each player using the skills they know, this will unite team work and spirit.
Riddell: Sitting just above Woodend-Hesket by one position, Riddell will want this win.
WHO WILL WIN
Woodend/Hesket - it’s not going to be easy, with hard work and resilience to not give up. With a high work load, another win will appear on the score board.
A GRADE
TALKING POINT
With some fine tuning and understanding of attacking set plays and also a common defensive play used by most teams, the Woodend-Hesket A grade team are aligned in mindset and are ready for a great game.
LAST WEEK
Woodend/Hesket: A clean game against Wallan, with Woodend-Hesket working hard both in attacking play and defence. Leads and passes sometimes didn’t connect and they missed easy shots, Wallan took the win.
Riddell: With a 19-goal loss against Rupo, its court play breaks down with errors under pressure.
WHY THEY WILL WIN
Woodend/Hesket: Maddy Staresina rejoins the team. She brings experience and a calm mindset in the attacking end. Looking at the Riddell game results so far this season, on paper Woodend-Hesket, with an extremely strong team mind set will give Riddell a run for its money.
Riddell: having lost to Rupo who are their southern neighbours, Riddell will want a win to rebound. It will come out physically strong and go for all balls and will keep working until the whistle is blown.
WHO WILL WIN
Woodend-Hesket. If the A Grade team play a thinking game and don't fall into Riddell's style of game, keep positive and score at a good efficiency, Woodend will take the win. Go Hawks.
