Varsity Vipers Basketball Winter 2019 Registration Information
Welcome to the 2019 GCJBL Winter Season with Varsity Vipers Basketball. Please Read ALL Information below before Registering your player(s).
The Gold Coast Junior Basketball league is the Premier Gold Coast Junior Basketball Competition.
The League consists of ten clubs: Blades, Celtics, Heat, Magpies, Nets, Panthers, Spartans, TSS Suns, Slammers & the Varsity Vipers.
Competitions are run for both boys and girls in the U9,11,13,15,17 and 20 age groups.
The purpose of the GCJBL is to provide a competition pathway for junior basketball players on the Gold Coast.
The Winter Seasons commences on February 20th through to September 7th. Summer Season Dates TBA. Registration is only open for the Winter Season (fees will cover the Pre-Season Grading and Winter Season).
GCJBL Venues
The GCJBL will predominantly be played at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre in Carrara and Tallebudgera Rec Centre.

Varsity Vipers Team Trials: - You must be registered by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8th to attend team trials!

AGE GROUP TRIAL TIMES: Varsity College Senior Campus Sports Centre, Assembly Drive, Varsity Lakes.
U13’s: (2007 - 2008) – 11:15am
U15’s: (2005 – 2006) – 12:15Pm
U17’s: (2003 – 2004) – 1:15Pm

Vipers Club Fees
Gold Coast Basketball/Basketball Queensland Registration for 2019 is $110.00 for players in age groups U11-U20's + Varsity Vipers Club Fees (see below).
Gold Coast Basketball/Basketball Queensland Registration for players in U9’s is $60.00 + Varsity Vipers Club Fees (see below).
This GC/BQ Registration fee is part of your Club Fee Deposit or Full Payment and must be paid prior to Trials. Strictly NO REGO, NO PLAY!
All fees include GC/BQ Fee, Game Fees, Team Nomination Fees, Training Costs and end of season Presentation Awards Day. All fees are to be paid Online by FRIDAY 8th FEB Prior to Trials

Vipers Uniforms
All new players must purchase a new uniform, sizing is available at the first trial.
Vipers Training
Trainings will be held at Varsity College Gym, Assembly Dr, Varsity Lakes, sessions will be announced once coaches have been confirmed.
Coaches and Team Managers
In order for Vipers to enter teams into competitions, it is imperative that we have coaches and managers for each team. If you would like to volunteer your time as a coach or a manager please contact us at coach@varsityvipers.com.au to express your interest.
2018/2019 Representative Season:
To represent Gold Coast Basketball in the 2019/2020 BQJBC season; all players must participate in 50% of the 2019 Winter Season games to be eligible to Trial. Trials are generally held at the end of the winter season around October/November. Further Information will be provided later in the Club Season and via the Gold Coast Basketball website.
