The Melton Bloods are pleased to welcome Dyson Stevens back to the club for the 2019 season.
Dyson aligned himself with the Bloods during 2016 and 2017 while with VFL club the Northern Blues. In that time, Dyson trained with the Bloods on a handful of occasions and pulled the maroon jumper on for one game in each season. In 2017, he also played 9 senior VFL games with the Northern Blues.
Dyson made the decision to end his time at VFL level at the end of 2017 and return on a full time basis to his junior club Deer Park for 2018 where he played in this year's WRFL Premiership.
Having enjoyed the time he spent with the Bloods previously, Dyson has decided to return to MacPherson Park for 2019 and is hoping to play his role in getting the Bloods back into the finals and having another crack at a premiership next year.
Football Manager Brad Jamison is pleased a player of Stevens experience has chosen to join the club. "Dyson's a quality player. We didn't see a lot of him in the two years he was aligned with us due to VFL commitments but he really enjoyed the limited time he had with us and the fact we supported his VFL ambitions which is why he's decided to return. He's got really high standards on the training track, natural leadership qualities and the versatility he brings to play forward and as a taller midfielder is going to be important for us next year".
Stevens will join the Bloods pre-season training for the first time on Wednesday night.
