The Goanna's played host to the Camden Cat's at Goanna park in the final round of the home and away season on Saturday. The ever improving Cat's won the toss and ran with the wind in the first to hold a 3 point advantage at quarter time. Goanna's 2.3.15 to 3.6.18. The Goanna's benched key mid fielder Gerrad Kennedy early in the second after he was caught having a snooze on the job! His replacement was Ethan Dean who was making his debut in 1st grade at the tender age of 16. We managed to do enough to go into the main break ahead by the barest of margins. Goanna's 5.8.38 to 5.7.37. The 3rd quarter saw the Cat's regain the ascendancy to go into the final break with a 13 point advantage. Goannas 6.9.45 to 8.10.58. With the wind at our back and the old Goanna's cheering us on, we booted 6 goals 6 to run away with a hard fought win.

The Reserve grade finished their season off with a comfortable win to end up just half a game outside the top 4. The game was the last for Craig Smith who'll welcome retirement and Greg Wellington who is moving back to Nowra.

The 2nd Division Goannas were playing on a high after their 1st win of the season last week and held 4th placed Moorebank to a very respectable score line.
