League Women Preliminary Finals - Uni Rebels Vs Lightning
An amazing Preliminary Final match between Uni Rebels Vs Lightning last Saturday night. Rebels Women had another fantastic start springing a full court press on Lightning and went on a 7-0 run in the first minute of the game. Lightning slowly fought back and finish the first quarter 3 points up 16 to 19. Uni Rebels found the momentum again in the second quarter and got a 3 point advantage 34 to 31 to end the first half. Lady Rebels maintained the advantage in the third quarter and went on a 20-14 run and finished the quarter ahead by 9 points 54 to 45. The Rebels Youn Guns didn't lookedback in the last quarter and kept Lightning at bay till the end of the game. Led by Ieasha Friel (34pts) and supported by Danielle Ponter (17pts) and Tiyana Sing (6pts)Uni Rebels grinded out the win 73 to 63 to advance to the Gran Finals next Saturday September 22, 2018 at 6:30pm. Make sure you come down and cheer on the girls as they try to make history.
