Summer League 2018 REGISTRATIONS CLOSING 22/9/18
GCCJBL Summer Season 2018
Starts Wednesday 10 October ending Saturday 8th December 2018
Summer Competition is 7 Competition Rounds with the Winner being top of the ladder at the end of Round 7 No playoffs.
The competition is aimed at encouraging new players to try basketball for the first time. This is a less competitive competition with rules for restricted Gold Coast Basketball Representative Players.
Div 1 Rep Players must play up an age group. Div 2 to 4 rep players cannot play down a division and need special exemption to play in Summer Comp.

Registration
On Line registrations will open on Friday the 7th of September and will close on Saturday the 22nd of September or when the team limit is reached. A lot of players missed out last year so be in quick.
Basketball Queensland Fees covering BQ/Gold Coast Basketball Component & Insurance
Returning Winter 2018 players are:-
When signing into SportsTG please use your login in details that you used for Winter 2018.
As you have already registered for to play in the Winter 2018 Competition you have purchased a 365 day Membership to Basketball Queensland and Gold Coast Basketball. This membership will expire on the day you signed up.
New players to Summer 2018
When registering you will need to select the Basketball Queensland and Gold Coast Basketball option. The fee will depend on what you select at the time.
At this stage there will be 2 options one for a 356 day membership or 2nd option of Summer comp only. Fee for this is not finalised as of the 5th of September.
TSS Suns Club Fees for Summer 2018 covering game fees, court hire, training, shirts hire admin costs etc are:-
U9 Boys and Girls Teams - $100 and U11’s to U20’s Boys and Girls are $130
You do not need to purchase a uniform as playing singlets will be provided for games but you will need to purchase plain navy blue shorts with no pockets or logos.
Age Groups
The club will cater for teams in the following age groups. However in Summer Comp players may play up an age group to play with friends but no one can play down an age group.

Teams
If you have enough players to form a Team of your own you must have a min of 7 players and supply each player and playing team history so that you can be placed in the correct division. Advise by email to tsssuns@live.com.au before 17 September. All players must be registered before the commencement of the 2018 Summer Season.
All other players will be placed into teams based on their prior playing results with the club.
If you are new to the Club, you will be placed with a mix of new players and returning players to make up the team.
Training Day’s
At this stage training day have not been set, this will depend on how many teams the Club enters into the Summer competition and also the Team Coaches availability to train the team.
At this stage we may have group training sessions.
Competition Day’s
U20's Wednesday Night - Venue either Carrara or Somerset
U13's Boys and Girls - Friday Night – Venue either Carrara or Tallebudgera
U15 to U17 Boys and Girls - Will need to be available either on a Wednesday or Friday night. -Venue either Carrara or Somerset. When final teams are closed, entire divisions will be placed at one venue for the season so please be aware of this BEFORE registering.
U9's and U11 Boys and Girls - Saturday Mornings - Venue Carrara
