Four teams still in championship contention

Four Brunswick Zebras teams remain in contention for their league championships after round 16 (senior men) and 13 (other leagues) - Men's State League 4 North Reserves, Men's Metro Division 5 North West, Women's State League 4 East and Under 18 Boys North West B.

The Men's Metro Division 5 North West team sits atop the ladder with 9 wins from their 10 games played.  Easily the tightest defenders in the league with only 13 goals against, the Metro Men have lost only 1 match in the past two seasons.

The Under 18 Boys North West B is only one point behind league leaders Glenroy.  There are three teams in close contention for the Championship so the next few matches will be vital.  Zebras are the highest scoring team  in the league with 47 goals to date, led by speedy Leo Johnson with 16 goals to his personal credit.

The Men's State League 4 Reserves are placed 3rd on the ladder with 11 wins from 16 matches.  Richard Santiago (8) and Aruna Takasaki (6) are the team's leading scorers.

The Women's State League 4 East team is also doing well, sitting 3rd and only 3 points behind the league leaders.  They are the highest scoring team in their league led by Sarah Scheuer who is the league's leading scorer on 14 goals.
