On the bright side and despite the losses, all our sides remain on top of the ladder, but the gap to the others gets narrower and we have some massive games coming up.
No one likes losses, but the test is how we respond next Saturday against Blackburn, another Club with very strong teams in each grade. And how we play next time against Sth.Croydon.
No doubt our growing list of players injured or unavailable played a part on Saturday, particularly in the Reserves. Availability of VFL players is a new factor, as a team’s strength can greatly vary in quality from week to week depending on what players are available. Ruckman Michael Knoll was named as an emergency at Box Hill, but in the end they did not need him and so he missed playing any footy at all.
So next Saturday we have a huge home game, as Blackburn also lost both the Seniors and Reserves on weekend at Rowville. The Under 19’s will be a game between the two best teams in the competition by a mile. Both with ridiculous percentages of 433 & 315 respectively.
