FOOTBALL
Last round we played the Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers at home. In the Seniors a tight opening term signalled the way the game would be played. We managed a one point lead at the first break. Some blistering run and contested footy by Aaron Walklate helped break the game open during the second term. He was well assisted by Anthony Judd and Daniel Thiesz, while Sam O’Connor was finding plenty of footy on the wing. We managed to kick four goals to one for the term but inaccuracy only enabled a 20 point lead at the main break. As expected the Tigers continued to fight and whittled down their deficit to 10 points at the last break. The Navies learnt a lesson about not making the most of their opportunities and we lost in a close one by four points.
The Reserves also had a similar game, leading for most of the day before being overrun in the last to lose by 3 points. Again we held a 10 point lead at the last break. Tyson Watton, Angus Adams, Cobi Fitzpatrick, Nigel Williams, Joe Williams and Connor Lee all had solid games.
