Being the most common cancer in women and the second most common cancer in women to cause death, there is a long way to go in terms or research and reducing these numbers.
Breast Screen Queensland is funded to attempt to reduce these numbers by detecting cancers at an earlier stage allowing better treatments and better outcomes for women. Breast screening is free for all women between the ages of 50 and 74 and should be performed every 2 years for best results.
Thank you to everyone who assisted on the day
