The question was would the main game live up the hype.?? Well. It certainly did, with the lead changing all day, in fact it wasn’t till the final few minutes when the a fightback by Balwyn was halted and those in purple and gold could breathe easier. Both sides showed they were going to play a big part in the 2018 season.
Our new Senior Captain Lachie Johns put in an outstanding performance with over 30 possessions, given his delayed start to the year due to an injury and the only game he had played was the intra Practice session just before Easter.
