CDHBU has gone done by 31 points to the Brock-Burrum Saints at a windy Coreen.
Winning the toss and kicking with the breeze against an undermanned Saints the Power needed a good start, while the Power had plenty of the ball they just couldn’t put the score on the board as they went to quarter leading 2.3. to 2.1.
The Power started the second quarter good with an early goal into the breeze but from then on it was all the Saints as they kicked the next 5 goals to lead at half time 7.4 to 3.3.
The Power tried hard in the second half holding the Saints to only 4 goals but the damage was done as the Saints ran out winners 11.9.75 to 6.8.44

The Reserves only have themselves to blame with bad kicking costing themselves the win as they went down by 21 points to Brock Burrum. The Saints had their kicking boots on while the Power left theirs at home as they trailed 5.2 to 2.6 at half time. It didn’t improve in the second half with the Power having plenty of chances but the Saints took theirs as they ran out winners 10.2.62 to 5.11.41.

The Thirds, with the help from some Wahgunyah players, put up a good performance against Brock-Burrum. The side tried hard against bigger and stronger opposition as the Saints led 16.13 to no score at three quarter time. The Saints best player came across to the Power and the game evened right up as the Saints won 18.15.123 to 2.1.13. Special thanks to the Wahgunyah boys, Deakan Clancy, Noah Zurvas & Jacob Beveridge, that helped out.

An unofficial Under 12’s game was played against Brock-Burrum with the Saints winning by 12 points. It was great for the little Power players to have a run around and after kicking 2 goals through Levi Phibbs and Franklin Wright the Power only trailed by 1 point at the last change but the Saints were too strong winning 4.6.30 to 2.6.18. Franklin Wright played a great game, while Imogen Tomlinson in her first game of football was strong. Charlie Norman & Levi Phibbs also put in good performances.
This Saturday sees the Power have the weekend off due to Interleague, before taking on defending premiers Osborne at Osborne.
