Two of the Bloods senior players will have the opportunity of a lifetime to play on the MCG in tomorrow’s interleague match against the Goulburn Valley. The match features the two highest ranked country sides, currently sitting 8th and 9th in the AFL Victoria Championship Rankings.
Billy Crofts is one of a long list of Bloods Juniors who is now making his mark at the Senior club. Barring a season with the Western Jets in 2016, and an injury riddled year at Werribee VFL last year, Crofts has played all his football with the Bloods since he started playing footy in the Under 9s.
Ben Archard, in his second season with the Bloods and Co-Captain of the Club this year, has spent time in the TAC Cup and VFL system, but will play interleague football for the first time.
Footy Manager Brad Jamison has noticed more talk about this year's interleague compared with previous years. “There’s definitely a greater buzz surrounding the interleague this year with the unique opportunity for the boys to compete on the MCG. I’m sure both Billy and Ben will acquit themselves well. They’ll have a large group of their Bloods teammates there for support”.
Tomorrow’s match commences at 12.45pm and will be broadcast on 97.9fm in Melton with pregame coverage from midday.
