Darrel is becoming all too accostumed to guards of honour, having previously received on at Singleton for his 250th Black Diamond Cup match in 2015.
A life member, inaugural Hall of Fame umpire and all round nice guy, Darrel's attitude, enthusiasm and overall flair for umpiring is an incredible asset to both experienced members and newer umpires alike.
As the former President of the NCCUA, Luck presided over some very difficult times when numbers were low, sponsorships were difficult to obtain and a training base was never always certain. As a strong willed, determined leader, Darrel's leadership gave the Association the platform to become the strong group it is today.
Plucka is known as one of the best decision makers and match managers in the region. Many an umpire have marvelled in Darrel's ability to maintain control of a tough, heated situation and he always manages to do it with a smile. A couple of schooners after the match don't hurt either!
The NCCUA wish to congratulate Darrel Luck on a magnificent milestone and we all hope you enjoyed your 400th match in the BDAFL.
